Decision Making

How to Make a Good Decision
A Journey of Patience and Faith

Decision making can be daunting, especially when it comes to important choices. The process depends on various factors, including available options, individual capacities, and goals. Many people have their own approaches to reaching a conclusion, and I've had my share of decision-making experiences. Sometimes I've made the right choices, and others haven't. Upon reflection, I've realized that decisions made in haste often tend to be incorrect, although there are exceptions.
When making certain decisions, I've found that inner peace can be a guiding factor. I recall when my husband and I were looking to rent an apartment. We felt uneasy about a particular place, despite its advantages, such as proximity to the bus stop and affordable rent. My husband suggested that we shouldn't proceed with the rental since we weren't at peace with it. Initially, I thought he was hesitant due to personal reasons, but ultimately, we decided not to pursue it. A month before our wedding, we found another apartment that better suited our needs – newly built, with better facilities, and conveniently located.
This experience taught me that the pressures we face when making decisions can sometimes be like a mirage, only to realize later that our initial concerns were unfounded. While there may be rules or processes for decision making, what works best for one person may not work for another.
Through various experiences, I've come to understand that making decisions requires patience and trusting in God. When our plans don't align with God's will, they may fail. I've learned to take my goals and plans to God, seeking His guidance and wisdom. Even when things don't work out as planned, I continue to move forward, trusting that His wisdom will prevail.

Tip for Decision Making
For those who believe in God, I recommend taking your goals and plans to Him in prayer. Outline your objectives and the steps you intend to take, then trust in His guidance and wisdom. Even when faced with challenges, continue to move forward, knowing that success often comes through His Grace and Favor.
